Social Justice
This area of stewardship really sets off some people because "human rights" seems like "Civil Rights", an area with which they are very uncomfortable.
But Social Justice is about treating all people fairly, looking out for those who need help, and actively making this a better world for all.
Hunger, poverty, disease, homelessness, treatment of people with disabilities, human rights, child survival, child labor, land mine removal, malnutrition, gender issues, age issues, drug & alcohol concerns, voting rights, refugee support, affirmative action, treatment of the mentally ill, fair trials, and freedom of religion -- these are all Social Justice concerns.
Micah 6:8
"What does the Lord require of you but to do justice,
to love kindness and walk humbly with your God."
