Beginner's Handbell classes
If you've ever wondered what ringing a handbell would be like, join the Beginner's Handbell Classes that Jerry Garrison will be holding.
Classes will be in the Sanctuary from 6:30 to 7:30pm Wednesdays.
Serve!
"When I was hungry, you gave me something to eat, and when I was thirsty, you gave me something to drink. When I was a stranger, you welcomed me, and when I was naked, you gave me clothes to wear. When I was sick, you took care of me, and when I was in jail, you visited me."
-- Matthew 25:35-36 (CEV)
Help Haiti earthquake survivors

The recent earthquake in Haiti has claimed thousands of lives and left that already poor country in dire straights.
Below are two key ways you can lend a helping hand to the people of Haiti in the aftermath of the earthquake disaster there.
- Give to the United Methodist Advance, #418325. You can donate online or give though the local church by putting "Advance #418325" in the Memo part of your check or on a giving envelope.
You can also mail a donation direct to:
UMCOR
PO Box 9068
New York, NY 10087
100% of these funds are used for relief and development efforts.
You may want to read updates and commentary about this disaster. Here are a few sources:

Lend a Helping Hand locally
Serve others by helping some of our own members.

Feed yourself!
Just as you cannot thrive by eating food only one day a week, you cannot grow spiritually unless you are "feeding" yourself outside of Sunday Worship.
"I sat on the couch with my Bible and sipped the hot [chocolate], savoring each swallow. Then it dawned on me that what I was doing with my morning hot chocolate was exactly what I should do with the Word of God. As I drank my hot chocolate, it becomes a part of me. So should I be with God's word. I should sip and savor, be warmed and fed." -- Carole Mayhall
