Note cards

The Methodist Theological Seminary at Mulungwishi mission station has produced an unusual and beautiful set of 21 note cards.  These note cards are of the special windows at the Mulungwishi United Methodist Church and are designed by Kafusha Laban.

The idea for the 21 Seminary Chapel stained glass windows at the Mulungwishi Theological Seminary came from Woody Bartlett, Lori Person' father.  Woody was a Methodist missionary in Mulungwishi for over 40 years and he was the founder of the Seminary.

Woody gave the artist Kafusha verses from the Bible to depict in stained glass. Woody also bought from South Africa the patent for the process of adhering colored plastic to glass. The form of the figures are leaded on the glass and then melted plastic is poured onto the glass.

The windows were made at the Mindolo Ecumenical Foundation in Kitwe, Zambia, where Kafusha worked with Majory Murry, a missionary teacher. The windows were then brought to Mulungwishi and installed in the new church.

All funds donated for these cards are used to support the Seminary and Seminary students.

Ordering.  You can order note cards by donating a check or money order for $33.00 (includes $3.00 for shipping and handling) to:
